The first creation according to the Quran and the bible (A comparative approach)

The creation event is among the important problems that human history has questioned. Divine religions and modern beliefs, especially the most primitive beliefs, have offered many explanations for the way of creation. Mankind has made many inquiries since the beginning of his world adventure. One of the important questions that people ask is the world that surrounds them and how their own existence came into being. It is an undeniable fact that religions have answered this question. In our study, the explanations about how the creation in Islam and Judaism first started and how it was continued and the way the Qur'an and the Torah handle creation have been tried to be discussed comparatively. We started our study by explaining the creation event, which is handled with a very rich variety of words and concepts in the Qur'an, and the description of creation in the Genesis section of the Torah. Afterwards, the explanation and description that the Qur'an and the Bible brought to the issue were discussed in detail. Current issues and problems related to the creation event are addressed in this section, and the subject is discussed from a broad perspective. After evaluating the two descriptions of the subject separately, the information revealed by the two holy books about creation was compared. As a result, we tried to show that although there are similarities in the way the Qur'an and the Torah handle creation, there are important differences. In our study, we tried to deal with the first creation, the universe and the creation of living things comparatively, taking into account the contextual narrative of the Qur'an and the chronological narrative method of the Torah.
