This study has been prepared to evaluate some criticisms of the history of the Qur'an directed by orientalists. In the introduction part of the study, general information is given about the history of Mus'haf and especially Hz. Abu Bakr period compilation activity and Hz. Osman period copying activity have been discussed. In the first part of the study, the concept of orientalism is discussed, and the definition, history, purposeand method of orientalism are emphasized. In the second part, Somecriticisms of the Orientalists about the source of the Qur'an, its textualization history and its succession to the next generations have been discussed and evaluated. While some Orientalists were able to maintain their neutrality in the name of scientific ethics during these studies, many of them could not maintain their neutrality in this sense and made criticisms for a certain purpose. In the conclusion part, an evaluation has been made on how successful the Orientalists are in line with their studies' objectives.
