Abstract (EN)

The Qur'an is a divine book that addresses all ages, cures people's problems and leads people to happiness both in the world and the Hereafter. This book must be understood correctly in order to be applied to the divine will. Throughout history, different efforts have been made to understand the Qur'an correctly. One of the efforts to understand the Qur'an is notion study. The correct understanding of the Qur'an's notions provides a better understanding of the message to be given by the Qur'an. In this thesis, we discussed the two important notions of the Qur'an: 'usr and Yusr. Our thesis consists of an introduction two parts. In the first part, we discussed the dictionary and term meanings of usr and yusr and also other notions that have meaning relations with these two notions. In the second part, we have determined the patterns and meanings that 'usr and yusr are used in the Qur'an. We also talked about what these two concepts mean in terms of difficulty and ease where they are used together. In our study, we used ancient dictionaries written on Arabic language and commentaries written in classical and new periods. In the Qur'an, the concept of usr has been used twelve times, and the concept of yusr has been used forty-four times. Although these two concepts are opposite , they seem to have meaning relations. When the Qur'an is considered as a whole, it is seen that the principle of convenience is preferred, whether in worship or in social life. According to the Qur'an, difficulties can be encountered in life. As a result of patience and endurance, there is glory at the end.
