The concept of "Hilm" in the Quran

This research called "The Concept of "Hilm" in the Quran" consists of an entry, three chapters and a conclusion. In the entry it was explained the researche's topic, aim, importance, method and its sources. During the first chapter, it was firstly aimed to explain the meanings of the hilm word with its ha-le-me (حَلَمَ) and ha-lu-me (حَلُمَ) roots and derivatives by making use of arabic, ottoman and Turkish dictionaries. Furthermore it was intended to give more information about the terminological meanings of the concept of Hilm as well as its synonyms and antonyms. Finally, the Hilm topic was also worked according to other islamic sciences under four titles. In the chapter two, the Hilm concept was classified according to its topics by determining ayats that contain its derivatives. There were the mufassirs' approaches to the ayats included as well. Moreover, the analysis of the Hilm's antonyms was also done by making use of tafsirs. The third section covers invidual and social aspects of Hilm ethics. The research was finished by doing a general assesment.
