Abstract (EN)
By-pass fat has been used in nutrition of ruminants to provide energy and improve milk components. In this thesis, the effects of by pass fat use on milk components of Kıvırcık (curly) sheep were investigated. The study was divided into two groups as 7 animals in each group. The sheep were housed in individual cage. They were fed twice a day, morning and evening. The animals were weighed weekly to determine their live weight. Milk samples were taken from sheep twice in the morning and evening. As a result of the analysis, the effect of by pass fat on the body weight was not significant. However, there was significant difference between the groups in terms of milk fat and milk conductivity (P <0.05). As a result, it was concluded that the use of bypass fat in sheep is effective in increasing milk fat especially in milk component and it can be used to meet the energy need in cases such as lactation.
