Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to increase the selection efficiency of genetic units, to increase the estimation accuracy of some genetic parameters by controlling the environmental variation in experiments during the evaluation phase of the Turkish red pine progeny trial established in Antalya-Nebiler and provenance trial in Antalya-Korkuteli-Susuz. In this scope, each tree was given row and column numbers in Susuz. In addition, it was evaluated by sub-blocking as six and interlocked blocks. In Nebiler progeny trial with four replicates each tree was given row and column numbers, sequentially removing one replicate at the analysis, by sub-blocking as eight, twelve, and interlocked blocks. As a result; In the Nebiler progeny trial, the plot error was eliminated, that is, it was reduced to zero, for tree height in interlocked model and for diameter at breast height in twelve blocks model. The accuracy of predicted breeding values in height and diameter were increased significantly. Predicted genetic gain in the case of selection of the top thirty families performed increased relative to the standard assessment. In the Susuz provenance trial, plot error was eliminated as a result of the analyzes performed with the interlocked block model in terms of both height and diameter. As a result of the multiple comparison tests for the diameter in the interlocked block model, it was observed that the Turkish red pine provenances, which were in the best growing group, decreased by half compared to the standard evaluation.
