Mâwardi's approach to Quran verses on goverment in his work "en-Nüket ve'l 'Uyûn"

Mâwardî is a person whose identity as a jurist is at the forefront. His versatility draws attention when a brief information about him is desired. One of the products of this intellectual wealth and knowledge of Mâwardî is his tafsir, which he wrote under the name en-Nüket ve'l Uyûn. Seeing how Mâwardî, as an administrator himself, evaluates the verses related to administration from his own perspective, is the main reason for the emergence of this study. The study consists of an introduction and two chapters. In the introduction, brief information about Mâwardi is given. In the first chapter, the concepts emphasized in the Qur'an about administration and the principles that are important according to us in the jurisprudence were tried to be evaluated on the axis of Mâwardî. Between the lines, thoughts of Mâwardi are referred. In the second chapter, it was tried to determine how the verses that we can associate with administration were handled by Mâwardî in en-Nüket ve'l Uyûn. In addition, in this section, the interpretations of Tabari, Kurtubî and one of the contemporary commentators Mawdudi on the aforementioned verses were examined and the differences in the interpretation of the verses were tried to be revealed. En-Nüket ve'l 'Uyûn is considered as Tafsir bi'r-riwāyah. That being said, the mufassir also expressed his own interpretation while conveying some narrations. However in this study, it was not seen that Mâverdî revealed his own preferences in the relevant verses. Key words: Mawardî, tafsir, management.
