The term post-truth after the liberalization of media: Reflections of the Afghan migrants in media

In this thesis study; The concept of post-truth, which emerged after the liberalized media, is examined. The post-truth concept after liberalization is discussed over the effects of the active role of business people operating in the media sector and many different fields. In this context, the effect of media bosses' business activities in different sectors on the news is investigated. This situation, on the other hand, was handled through the immigration of people there after the Taliban activities in Afghanistan, and how the situation of Afghan immigrants was handled in the news in the mainstream, opposition and alternative media. After the evaluations, it was determined that Afghan immigrants are handled differently in the mainstream, opposition and alternative media. It has been determined that the news in the establishments of media bosses who have bilateral relations with the government due to other business lines are presented to the reader entirely according to the opinion of the government. While it is evaluated that the news in the opposing media is handled within the framework of the adopted ideological view, it has been determined that minority rights are protected in the alternative media and conveying the right information to the reader comes to the fore.
