Abstract (EN)

It is aimed to expand tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) with IL-2 in vitro on tumors which have been resected from patients who were diagnosed with early non-metastatic breast cancer in Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University Health Research and Application Center and to determine immunophenotypic features of expanded TILs. In order to achieve this aim, the tumor carrying breast taken by the Department of General Surgery is brought to the Pathology Unit after mastectomy. A piece of 2-3 mm diameter from the tumor detected by the pathologist was cultured on media with recombinant IL-2, a cytokine which caused T cell increase after mechanical disruption. On the 7th and 14th days following the first day of the study of the tumor, the expansion rate of TILs expanding from the tumor was examined by flow cytometric methods. In conclusion, this study has investigated the use of adoptive T cell therapy as a forward immunotherapy method in breast cancer patients.
