Problems and solutions proposals of history teaching in vocational high school according to teachers opinion (in sample of Van)

This work is aiming to fix problems about teaching history at Vocational High School (in sample of Van) and trying to find solutions according to teachers points of wievs. There are Vocational High Schools in different kinds and there are 50 history teachers in this work. To find the problems about teaching history at Vocational High Schools the history teachers opinions were used. For finding out problems and finding solutions for these problems some questianire were applied the teachers who work at aboue mentioned schools. After the datas were abtained, results were evoluated with the program wich is coıled SPSS ( social sciences statistics pocket program ) the erea which the problems got intensive was indicated and it were faced different Vocational High Schools were exploned with charts. Against the problems the solutions opinions were added with the percentage of joined teachers. It is thought that suggestions which are revealed by the literatüre review and which come out from the survey will contribute to the solution of history teaching problems in vocational High Schools. This research consists of four chapters all including suggestions for aquestion frequently discussed in recent years, ''What are the problems of history teaching within the scope of education problems in vocational high scools?'' In the introduction, the status of the problerm, the purposeof the research sub-problems, definitions, limitations of the research, assumptions and researches about the subject are given. In the seccond part, the method of the research, the context, the sample as well as thecharacteristics of the data collection tool used in the research and howw thefindings are analyzed are presented. In the third section, the findings of the research and the interpretation of the information obtained from these findings are presentd while the results and suggestions are given in the last chapter.
