Taqdīm and taʾḫīrin Muqātil Ibn Sulayman's commentary: "al-Tafsīr al-Kabīr"

In this work, we try to examine art of presentation (taqdīm) and delay (taʾḫīr), which are widely used literary styles in the Arabic language, in Mukātil b. Sulayman's (d. 150/767) commentary "al-Tafsīr al-Kabīr ". ln the first part, we shall examine life and the works of the author and his knowledge journey, in second part we shall examine art of taqdīmand taʾḫīrin the Arabic language. We dwell on art of taqdīm and taʾḫīr's area of utilization, which is accepted, and usages of these areas after that we try to exhibit possibility of different methots for these arts. Lastly, the verses which are indicate by author, check over with headings of related surahs. ln this context, we estimate sayings of author comparatively. We prioritise art of taqdīm and taʾḫīr according to usage of Holy Qur'an in this study. We prove that interpreters and philologist sometimes think same for usage of these arts, also they consider a matter from a different angle. Keys words: Syntax, Rhetoric, Taqdīm, Taʾḫīr, Muqātil
