Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of Multi-Gravitational Suspension Based Exercise (M-Gravity exercise) program on posture, balance and hand grip strength in women who do not have exercise habits. A total of 58 female individuals were included in the study. The sample of our study consisted of 39 volunteer female individuals between the ages of 18-45 who applied to a private sports center to exercise M-Gravity and did not have regular exercise habits. Our control group consisted of 19 volunteer female individuals between the ages of 18-45 who did not have regular exercise habits. The exercise group received 60 minutes of M-Gravity exercise for a total of 12 sessions, two days a week, in six weeks. 19 volunteer participants in the control group continued their normal lives within 6 weeks without participating in any exercise program. Posture Screen Mobile (PSM) application, version 11.10, which we downloaded from the App Store, was used for the evaluation of posture of both groups. Static balance was evaluated with the Flamingo Balance Test. Upper and lower body dynamic balance was evaluated with Y Balance Test. Evaluations were made twice, before and after 6 weeks of exercise. As a result, there was a significant increase in the hand grip strength in the M-Gravity exercise group, and at the end of the exercises, the hand grip strength showed a significant difference between the groups (p<0.05). While there was no significant difference between the groups in the lower extremity Y Balance Test parameters after the exercises (p>0.05), the M-Gravity exercise group showed a significant improvement within itself (p<0.05). At the end of 6 weeks, there was no significant difference between the groups in terms of medial and inferolateral balance of the upper extremity Y Balance Test parameters (p>0.05), but it was observed that the M-Gravity exercise group was statistically superior to the control group in terms of superolateral balance (p<0.05). and M-Gravity exercise group showed significant improvement in medial, superolateral and inferolateral directions at the end of the sixth week (p<0.05). In addition, in the evaluation of the flamingo balance test, a significant decrease was observed in the number of falls after the exercises in the M-Gravity exercise group (p<0.05). According to the results of the posture evaluation, a positive and significant improvement was observed in all parameters in the M-Gravity exercise group, except for the shoulder slope parameter in the posture parameters (p<0.05). All these findings show that M-Gravity exercise positively affects hand grip strength, balance and posture in women who do not have regular exercise habits.
