Space in Murathan Mungan's stories and novels

Although place is one of the important elements of story and novel, it has not seen enough value in literary studies. However, it is very important in terms of creating the base that it needs for its existence. In our study titled "Space in Murathan Mungan's Stories and Novels", the use of place in these studies was investigated by examining the author's four novels and eleven storybooks. The scope of the concept of place, the use of place in literary studies and the author's life, art and literary aspect are given. The stories are examined under three different titles with a text-centred perspective, and the link between place and human and the impact of this link on the course of the literary study are discussed. Apart from places, the study was enriched by examining the relationships between the objects and people. Integrity was achieved in the study by using the same method throughout the study. The aim of the study is to investigate the importance and function of the place, which is one of the basic elements of the story and novel genre in the studies of Murathan Mungan, who made a great contribution to Turkish Literature with his studies. As a result of the research, the findings about the importance of the use of place in literary genres and its contribution to the study were presented to the scientific world.
