Abstract (EN)

In this study, Necib al Kilani's novel et-Tarikut-Tawil has been analyzed. Our study is important to us, as it has not been studied before. Although the novel of et- Tarikut-Tawil was the first novel of the author, which had been written within 3 weeks while he was in prison, it was written with a great mastery. al-Kilani who was born in Egypt and spent his life in various countries is a great man of letters and one of the pioneers of Islamic literature. During his time in Egypt, he was close to the Muslim Brotherhood organization and because of this closeness, he went through the prison process. However, his experience of this process did not stop his pen, on the contrary, it enabled him to write many more works. The novel of et-Tariku't-Tawil, one of the works that he wrote in prison, tells about two families living in a village, in Egypt. While the story of two families is being told, the political events of that time in Egypt also shape the novel. The language of this work is extremely simple, fluent, and understandable. The author made his work open to all kinds of readers by not drowning it in literary arts. This work was awarded the first prize by the Egyptian Ministry of Education and Training in 1957. The same work also received an award from Minister Fethi Rıdwan, in 1959. It is certainly admirable that al-Kilani finished his work in a short time and won awards, while today's writers keep their work waiting for months when writing.
