Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, At Obama politic period that period of Turkish-American relations, policy development and possible problem areas are qustioned and addressed. The axis of the last period of the Ottoman Empire began to develop economic and commercial activities of Turkish-American relations, who lived during the Republican Era and World War II recession. The end of World War I bi-polar system of relationships, especially in the period 1947-1960 experienced its golden age. The new U.S. security strategy after the Sept. 11 attacks, carried out within the framework of operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, and Turkey's point of view the region, has led to questioning of the relationship between the alliance between the two countries. Barack Obama's election and immediately after the U.S. President's visit to Turkey carried out, strained relations between the two countries is a positive impetus. In this study, the U.S. foreign policy priorities will follow in the coming period, regional problems (Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran and so on.) perspective, and Israel, Armenia, chronic problems such as the current state of Turkish-American relations and possible future developments are evaluated.
