Investigating the relationship of mobbing, organizational silence and organizational cynicism among physical education teachers in Niğde

The purpose of this study is to answer the question "Is mobbing a significant predictive of organizational silence and organizational cynicism?" to determine the relation between organizational silence and organizational cynicism, and to find out whether Physical Education and Sports Teachers are exposed to mobbing. The data was obtained through the scale that was developed by Leymann and whose validity and reliability were tested by Bingöl to measure to what extent teachers were exposed to mobbing. The scale consists of 45 mobbing gestures/behaviours. The Scale of Organizational Silence that was developed by Kahveci and Demirtaş and that consists of 18 items and 5 sub-dimensions was used to measure the Physical Education and Sports Teachers' organizational silence behaviours. The teachers' organizational cynicism behaviors were measured through the Scale of Organizational Cynicism developed by Brandes, Dharwadkar and Dean. The validity and reliability studies of the scale, consisting of three sub-dimensions and 14 items, were done by Çiftçi the questionnaires were prepared in five-point likert type. The sampling of the study consists of 190 physical education and sports teachers. The findings of the study show that mobbing is a significant predictor of organizational silence and organizational cynicism and this result corresponds to the results of similar studies in literature.
