Abstract (EN)
Although traditional Turkish Music has a long history in our age, it has not yet been able to reach an adequate educational method and work. The problem here is not the education system alone. Teachers equipped with adequate skills and knowledge are needed. Especially, education should be programmed by equipping primary school teachers with adequate knowledge and tools, in a more efficient structure. In particular, it is thought that it can be started by teaching traditional Turkish music methods to primary school children, and that it can be used to transfer traditional Turkish music to future generations in order to make children aware of the methods in the following educational periods. The research and model proposal for the solution of this problem has been discussed by the researcher. All of these reasons were based on this study, and directed the researcher to prepare a new approach to Turkish Music Rhythm teaching. In this study, it is aimed to determine the appropriateness of the sequence-course exercises method in teaching Turkish Music Rhythm with Orff Instruments to class teacher candidates. For this purpose, nine classroom teachers were the candidates and the participants of the qualitative study. The data obtained from the participants were collected through participatory anecdotes, open-ended questionnaires on the results of the practices and written opinions of the expert conducting the application. In this study, scale practising drills were prepared in accordance with the methods seen in primary school songs (folk music samples, folk songs) and a sample song in accordance with each method were taught to teacher candidates by an expert. As a result of the research, it was observed that the study of scale practising prepared in accordance with Turkish Music Rhythm, provided the permanence of the knowledge of the rhythmus through repetitive exercises, especially by developing the instrument skills related to the teaching of the Turkish Music Rhythm.
