Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between teachers' social media addiction, motivation and self-efficacy. The study was employed with 289 teachers working in public schools in Besni district of Adıyaman province in 2017-2018 academic-term. Three data collection tools were employed to the participants: i) Teacher Motivation Scale adapted by Polat (2010), ii) Teacher Self-efficacy Scale developed by Tschannen-Moran ve Hoy (2001), and iii) Social Media Addiction Scale developed by Tutgun-Ünal ve Deniz (2015). In the analysis of the data, t-Test, ANOVA, Pearson Correlation tests by using. The findings of the research showed that there were negative low-level correlation between i) social media addiction and self-efficacy and ii) social media addiction and motivation of the teachers. There was also positive moderate level correlation between self-efficacy and motivation of the teachers. In addition, there were significant differences between the levels of self-efficacy, motivation and social media addiction in terms of some demographic variables.
