Abstract (EN)

This research was carried out to determine the effects of foliar oxalic acid application at different doses on yield and quality in rocket cultivation. Eda variety, which is commercially cultivated, was used as plant material in the study. In the study, 4 different doses of oxalic acid (0-2-4-6 mM) were applied to rocket from the leaves. As a result of the study, it was determined that the yield varied between 2 145-2 563 g/m² and leaf length 25.99-27.80 cm according to the applications; The highest yield values were obtained from the application of 4 mM oxalic acid. According to the applications in rocket, total chlorophyll content, dry matter amount, vitamin C amount, total phenolic substance amount and antioxidant activity values were found between 37.37-40.16% SPAD, 8.08-8.70%, 112.34-130.55 mg/100g, 127.35-147.71 mg/100g and 316.92-379.05 µl/ml, respectively. The highest dry matter value 6 mM, the highest vitamin C value 4 mM, the highest chlorophyll, total phenolic and antioxidant values were obtained from 2 mM oxalic acid applications. In the study, according to the applications, It has been found that the color values of a* vary between 15.29-16.18 respectively. In the study, as a result of the application of different doses of oxalic acid, the P, K and Ca values in rocket leaves were found between 0.31-0.60%, 5.15-5.56% and 3.25-5.56%, respectively. As a result of the study, it was seen that oxalic acid applications had a positive effect on yield and some quality characteristics of rocket.
