Investigation of the knowledge, attitudes and behaviors of school managers regarding global climate change

The aim of this study is to examine the behavior, attitudes and knowledge of school administrators about global climate change. In this context, a research was conducted on 114 school administrators working in a corporate private school in Istanbul. From the participants; Questionnaire forms prepared using Environmentally Friendly Behavior Scale, Global Warming Attitude Scale and Global Warming Information Scale were collected using online interview method. IBM SPSS Statistics 24.00 program was used in the analysis of the collected data. Independent sample T test to compare school administrators' knowledge and attitude levels on global warming, environmental friendly behavior attitudes according to gender and education levels; One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was applied to compare according to professional seniority. Pearson correlation analysis was performed for the correlation between continuous variables. According to the findings obtained after the analysis; It has been determined that there is a positive relationship between global warming knowledge level and global warming attitude level, a positive relationship between global warming knowledge level and environmentally friendly behavior attitude, and a positive significant relationship between global warming attitude level and environmental friendly behavior attitude.
