The efficiency of schools in doing their social responsibility duties

The aim of this research is to determine the efficiency of schools in doing their social responsibility duties. The research consists of five parts; introduction, relevant literature, methodology, findings and conclusions, discussion and recommendations. The students of anatolian and vocational high schools in the district of Üsküdar in Istanbul in the academic year of 2012-2013 are covering the content of this study which is applied as a survey method. The sample of the study is of 325 students chosen randomly among from the students of anatolian and vocational high schools in the district of Üsküdar in İstanbul. A questionnaire is used to get the required data. The survey consists of three parts. In the first part there are 5 questions that contain demographic information of the students. In the second part there are 35 questions to determine the efficiency of schools in doing their social responsibility duties. In the third part the students may write their opinions related to the topic if they are willing to share. In this research, the efficiency of schools in doing their social responsibility duties is evaluated by the difference of the variables of student's gender, grade, type of school, education level of parents, occupation of parents. Survey data is interpreted by frequency,% (percent), t-test, ANOVA (one-way analysis of variance) and the multiple comparison (post-hoc) test aiming at defining the differences in groups.
