Abstract (EN)
This work titled "Omer Hulusi and His Diwan (Edition - Critique)" covers two main topics as to seek Omer Hulusi's place in the area of Turkish Islamic Literature within the academic framework and to discover the text of his Diwan. The dissertation consists of four chapters. In Chapter One, historical and cultural characteristics of the period in which Omer Hulusi lived are underlined and the individuals and institutions of the period and region are highlighted. Chapter Two gives general information on Omer Hulusi?s wives and children, birth and death dates and places, grave, title, profession, sufistic life, Shaikhs and successors as a result of my detalied study on his life and personality. Also in this chapter I give basic information about Ushshaqi order and the geneology of Omer Hulusi. Moreover, I emphasize on the line from Omer Hulusi to the modern times by settling the succesion of Ushshaqi order. Chapter Three dealing with Omer Hulusi's Diwan focuses on four subtitles. First of all, I analyze the Diwan in terms of form, content and language; by doing so I have reached statistical conclusions especially based on rhyme. Secondly, I demonstrate Omer Hulusi's connection with the concept of Nazanin al-Ushshaqi by investigating the concept. Under this subtitle I especially discuss the question of whether Omer Hulusi was a Bektashi or not. By investigating Ushshaqi believes and rituals under the subtitle of ?Basic Concepts in the Diwan?, I explore the Bektashi dhikr (remembering) pointed out in the verses of the Ushshaqi Shaikh Omer Hulusi. Also in this chapter, I mention the persons whose name were frequently repeated, and the Verses and Hadith used in the Diwan. Thus, I include almost all poems of him under this title and comment his sophistic views, thus he finds a place in the dissertation due to his important in Ushshaqi order. The last and forth chapter includes the criticized text of the Diwan. Beside the text in this chapter, I give information in depth about the existing ten nusha (copies) of the Diwan, each mustansih (copier) of these copies who was an Ushshaqi Shaikh, the method I followed in the formation of the criticized text, and then I give the criticized text including 651 poems. After clarifying the copies and copiers, the criticized text of the Diwan has been formed in this chapter. By giving place to the copy definition table which I prepared during forming the criticized text and generally shows the differences of copies, the method of text structure is presented as a table. Keywords: Omer Hulusi, Diwan, Nazanin al-Ushshaqiyya, Nazilli, Turkish Islamic Literature, Edition Critique.
