Abstract (EN)
In the present study, organ transplant organizations in different countries of the world were investigated. It was also aimed to discuss the current status of organ transplantation organization in Turkey and the level of health profesionnals' knowledge about organ transplant organization. The study population consists of health professionals working in Yedikule Chest Diseases Hospital. The sample of the study consists of 101 health workers. Survey forms were distributed to 150 health professionals selected by simple random sampling method but 101 participants responded. Survey form was used as data collection tool in the research. The survey forms consist of 31 questions. On the survey forms, there are 3 questions about demographic characteristics and 28 questions about organ donation perception. Data analysis in the study was conducted in SPSS 16 package program. While analyzing data, frequency and percentage were used as descriptive statistics. In addition, Chi-square test was used to determine whether there was any difference between the responses given to the questions. As a result of the research, it was revealed that the majority of health professionals had adequate knowledge about the organ transplant.
