Analysis of the students? and employers? satisfaction after the restructure of accounting education with the SVET project wich is applied to the secondary education

On of the most changing and developing occupations in the business world is the ?accountancy?. Being successful at accounting depends on a good theoretical education taught at schools as well as a good training parallel to the theoretical education. The success of the implementations as regards the education on skills is related to the knowledge which is supplied at schools where it is current and applicable.Restructuring studies have begun on secondary education level to provide a current education of accounting. Besides, a project called ?Strengthening the Vocational Education and Training System in Turkey (SVET)? has started to be applied.After SVET was started to be practiced, a questionnaire about evaluating of SVET was held both among the students who had had this training and among the employers who had ensured this training to those students.Employers deem that there is an increase of the students? qualifications after the SVET. An expectation occurred within the business world that is this project can meet the needs of qualified personnel.The needs of technological instruments and other equipments for students at schools are met by the SVET Project where the necessities of the students regarding updated information are also responded with the modular system. As a result of the studies held with the social partners, it has been provided that the students are much pleased with the choice of profession and with the training activities. Teachers? ?guidance role? which is the main role on education comes into prominence with this project.Key Words: Accounting Education, Vocational Education, SVET.
