Exami̇nati̇on of texts in Turkish course book of secondary school grade 7 to the children's literature

Literature education for kids are very important for their psychological, emotional and intellectual development. Therefore, children's literature should be able to provide kids with literary pleasure and to offer them personal development. The aim of our study is to examine the texts of the seventh grade Turkish textbook of secondary school in terms of children's literary. In this direction, the texts in the seventh grade textbook studied were examined in terms of content, painting, narration, words, writing and punctuation. A total of thirty-seven texts were examined in the book and these were made according of children's literature. It has been determined that the texts in the book are generally successful in terms of content, language-expression, emotion-thought-imagination, and are in line with the children's literature. However, it has been seen that some texts have more space in the texts. Also part of the text; Length, picture-content harmony, the multiplicity of unknown words, etc. İn the context of children's literature, they are not suitable for the students and teyp can not make much contribution to the kids.
