Police cartoons in Ottoman humor press and its effect on police image

Societies have established security forces throughout history to protect themselves from threats from themselves and other communities. Among these, armed forces are performing the foreign security of the countries, while the police and armed police officers who are armed or unarmed in order to ensure the internal security and order of social life perform these duties. There are, of course, many sources of historical research. Cartoons are now among these sources. Cartoons do not just humor, they also tell us about when they were drawn and published. In the modern sense, the caricature was seen in the Ottoman society in the 1870s. With this work, how the police organization in the Ottoman society is seen by the humorists. In order to determine this, the humor press published from the 1870s until the proclamation of the Republic was scanned and police cartoons were presented for evaluation.
