Difficulties of being the father of a with the diagnosisof Automatic Spectrum Disorders

The aim of this study; to examine the difficulties of being the father of an autistic child. The opinion that the researches were mostly conducted with the mother of an autistic child and that the researches with the father were insufficient revealed that this study should be done. It is thought that in families with an autistic child, the father as well as the mother undergoes psychological processes in the care of the child. Determining these processes will contribute positively to the literature. The population of the study consists of fathers with autistic children living in Istanbul. The sample of the study consists of the father of 100 autistic children in Beylikdüzü Special Education and Rehabilitation Center in Beylikdüzü district of Istanbul, which was selected by simple random sampling method and calculated with 95% confidence interval and 0.5% error rate from the study population. The research will be conducted in Istanbul Beylikdüzü District between July 2019 - September 2019. In the data collection, "Socio-demographic Information Form" Depression Anxiety and Stress 21 Scale (DASÖ 21), Continuous Anger Scale (SRSI) and Anger Expression Style (Anger-Style) Scale will be used. Obtained data, in accordance with the research problems, descriptive statistics; mean, standard deviation, percentage, for significant difference between measurements; hypothesis testing, T-Test and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA); When the data are not suitable for using parametric techniques, non-parametric equivalents of the tests will be analyzed by Mann-Whitney U-Test and Kruskal-Wallis H-Test, IBM SPSS 22.0 package program for testing inter-variable relationship, correlation technique and regression technique for testing inter-variable effect.
