Abstract (EN)

Due to terry towel is one of the most used types of products in home textiles, expectations of the consumers are increasing every day. It is possible to change some structural parameters of terry towels depending on end usage in order to increase expected performances. In this way, it may meet the consumer expectations efficiently. In this study, terry towels were woven with different weft densities and different pile heights. Air and water permeabilities, thermal properties, bending rigidity, wicking and drying properties of these fabrics were measured. The results were analyzed and interpreted by statistical analysis methods. It is determined that the changes on weft densities and pile heights have affected the terry towels properties significantly.
