Psychological resilience, tranquility levels and related factors of healthcare professionals working in pandemic hospital

The research was carried out in a descriptive and cross-sectional type in order to determine the psychological resilience, peace levels, and related factors of healthcare professionals working in pandemic hospitals. 217 healthcare professionals working in a city hospital between April and June 2021 participated in the study. "Healthcare Professionals Introduction Form", "The Psychological Resilience Scale for Adults", and "The Peace Scale" were used as the instrument to obtain the data. Cronbach Alpha analysis, descriptive statistics, independent t test, ANOVA analysis of variance, Pearson Correlation Analysis and Linear Regression analysis were used to analyse the research data. The level of significance was taken as p<0.05. The average age of the healthcare professionals participated in the research is 35.47, 79.7% of the participants are women 71.9% of which work as nurses, and the average weekly working hours of the participants is 40.09. It was found that 76.5% of the healthcare professionals have chosen that profession themselves, 85.7% love the profession, 64.1% are satisfied with the profession, and 56.2% are satisfied with the institution they work for. It was determined that healthcare professionals got an average score of 58.39±9.68 from the PRS and 27.82±5.22 from the Peace Scale. It was found that there was a significant relationship between the PRS total average score of healthcare professionals and the total mean score of the Peace Scale (r=0.537; p<0.001). It was also observed that some demographic and occupational characteristics affected the psychological resilience and peace levels. As a result; it has been found that the psychological resilience of healthcare professionals is related to the level of their peace, and the increase in their psychological resilience stimulates their peace levels.
