Exhibiting privacy in performance art

Due to its biological structure, the body has always taken a place in science and art, as it is the research area of anatomical and surgical interventions. In the triangle of science, art and philosophy, the body is not only composed of form and figure, but also has become the focus of conceptual indicators. The body, which was handled with the existence of the mind, emotions, spirit and mind together with the Age of Enlightenment, thus managed to enter the research field of metaphysics and sociology. He showed in the field of subjectivity that the body needs a memory and the memory needs an individual. The body has proven to be a new language by providing the communicative task of individual memory with performance. Thanks to the behavior patterns, the individual's desire to connect his thoughts, feelings and logic to the adopted moral rules in order to become consistent has arisen. However, since these rules impose restrictions on behavior patterns, individual and social models have begun to emerge. While the body grows with its own biological culture, privacy; It has become a concept that has become disidentified, defunct and lays the groundwork for a common privacy. In this study, the individual role of the concept of privacy is evaluated sociologically and psychologically in performance art, and the perception of cultural and structure on the body is discussed. In this context, in the first part of the study, the development of performance art in the historical process and the interaction of avant-garde approaches with other art movements are explained with a chronological view. In the second part, the descriptive and etymological analysis of the performative expression is made and it is exemplified by considering it with an avant-garde approach. In the third part; By specifying the formation of the concept of privacy around religious values, findings on the regulation of the dominance established between the sexes were obtained. The concept of privacy in the holy books has been examined and its mythical side has been mentioned. The disclosure of the concept of privacy through the body and life of modern humans has been investigated and data has been obtained on where the bridge between the artist's body and his privacy begins and ends. These data showed approaches to genders with objective and spatial expansions. fourth chapter; By approaching the term "openness" with a Heideggerian eye, the intermediate distances that reconcile performance art with the idea of privacy are evaluated. Through the performative expression, "openness" was measured and examined as an action. . By opposing the creation rules that exist in traditional art disciplines, the artist's body went into conceptual depths. First of all, the boundaries of the body and its place in performance art are based on the idea of being artistic and independent of the social and cultural content of privacy. The fifth part is; In the performance work titled "December", the idea of privacy is presented to the audience as a performative expression on an imaginary ground. Based on the image of home and home, an objective value based on "performative" connections has been created by carrying the space and body as a representation to the semiotic plane. His determinations on the way of transforming the body's memory into a landscape or a form of expression in the consciousness of creating a psycho-social awareness were found remarkable. The body's memory and identity are examined as a form of communicative expression and it is aimed to smooth the privacy on the body within the scope of performance art. A conceptual bond was created by questioning the inner reality with the privacy of the body and the external reality with the lack of privacy. As a result, the body as an indicator in performance art, the conflicts that arise at the intellectual and physical level, both with its conceptual basis and the body, which carries the indicators of these foundations, within the concept of privacy, freedom, getting rid of the dilemma of belief and ethics and the methods of the body's influence areas are examined.
