Abstract (EN)

In our country, there is no qualitative study on the problems and coping experiences of women diagnosed with POI. The research was conducted to determine the problems and coping experiences of women with Premature Ovarian Failure. Twenty women with Spontaneous Premature ovarian failure, aged between 18-40 years, without any psychiatric disease and volunteering to participate in the study were recruited. The sampled women were reached via Instagram, a social media platform, using the accounts followed by women with premature ovarian failure. The data were obtained by using in-depth interview technique and a semi-structured form. Content analysis method was used to analyze the data. The data were collected under 3 themes: Physical and Psychological Problems, Social Problems, Coping. The diagnosis of POI is traumatic for women. It has been observed that women negatively affect their social lives, bilateral relations and quality of life. By changing their lifestyles, providing a positive perspective, and providing adequate support, their quality of life can be increased. Keywords: Premature Ovarian Failure, Coping, Qualitative research, Early Menopause
