Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the effect of psychological resilience on coping with stress and to reveal the mediating role of self-efficacy level in this effect. The study was conducted on university students between the ages of 18-25. In the study, Connor-Davidson Psychological Resilience Scale (C-DPS) was used to measure psychological resilience, Stress Coping Scale developed by Türküm (2002) to assess coping with stress and General Self-Efficacy Scale to determine self-efficacy levels. Structural equation modeling was used as a method in the study and four different models were established within the framework of the sub-dimensions related to the coping with stress scale. In addition, direct and indirect effects were calculated for the models in which mediation effect was determined and explained in the findings section. Psychological resilience was evaluated as an important factor affecting individuals' coping with stress. However, it was predicted that self-efficacy level could play a mediating role in this relationship. The analyses showed that psychological resilience has a positive effect on coping with stress and this effect is significantly strengthened by self-efficacy level.
