Examining the 35-41th issue of the illustrated resimli kitap

Resimli Kitap is a magazine which began its publication life in September 1324/1908 with its first issue and ended its publication life with its last issue in October 1329/1914. The journal was published monthly and has a total 51 issues. Its content was considerably rich; including essays, photographs, caricatures and pictures about actual political developments, essays about various subjects, advertisements and announcements of shops and companies of that time. Due to its rich content, the journal managed to attract readers, especially, after the increase in its visual content. Our study aims to determine the features of the magazine between its 35th and 41st issues. The study consists of these chapters: "Foreword", "Introduction", "A Formal Study of 35th to 41st Issues of the Magazine", "A Specific Study of Formal Features 35th to 41st Issues of the Magazine and Presentation of the Transcriptions", "A General Thematic Study of 35th to 41st Issues of the Magazine", "A Specific Study of Thematic Features of 35th to 41st Issues of the Magazine and Presentaion of the Transcriptions", "Conclusion" and "Bibliography". In addition, we have added an index to the study. This index is organized in three ways; according to the names of the authors, chronological and thematic. Also, in order to represent the visual richness of the magazine, we have added a visual index. In "Introduction", we have given a background information about the social, political and cultural atmospheres of the time during which the magazine had been published and outlines of other magazines of this time. After that, we have presented our work about the issues we had studied. In "Conclusion" chapter, we have determined the importance of the magazine in the contextes of both its time and our time. We have also added some examples of the facsimiles of the journal at the end of the study.
