Abstract (EN)

This study aims to examine the relationship between relationship satisfaction, sexual satisfaction and romantic obsessions and their sub-dimensions in romantic relationships. Individuals with ongoing romantic relationships participated in the study and data were collected using various scales. In the study conducted with relational survey model, it was observed that romantic obsessions negatively affected relationship and sexual satisfaction, while sexual satisfaction increased relationship satisfaction. Sub-dimension analysis revealed that obsessions were related to factors such as love for the partner and relationship integrity, and sexual satisfaction affected the relationship more positively when it was partner-centred. Demographic variables showed that women had higher levels of obsessions compared to men, and obsessions were more common in young individuals. In addition, it was found that obsessions decreased and relationship satisfaction increased as relationship duration increased. The findings shed light on the effects of romantic obsessions and satisfaction on relationship dynamics and contribute to the development of strategies to increase individual and relational well-being.
