What is the organizational commitment of Elementary School directors who exposed to rotation?

In this research; the aim is determined to level of organizational commitment of elementary school principals who exposed to rotation. In this study which prepared in accordance with general screening model is determined to level of organizational commitment of primary school principals who are exposed to rotation and according to sub-dimension of demographic variables differentiation status are examined for determining to organizational commitment levels.The example of the research is that; in the European part of Istanbul, they are one each managers who were exposed to rotation were assigned to elementary school directors in 2010/2011 and as of April-May 2012 they still have the same task and the same position.The scales which used in research is organizational commitment scales and these scales which has demographic features were adapted to Turkish by Wasti (2000) and Personal Information Form.According to the data obtained from research, a variety of tests performed in various distributions and one of them is independent group T tests were applied in Parametric distribution, Mann Whitney-U tests and second one is Kruskal-Wallis H tests were applied in Non-parametric distribution.The findings of research are that elementary school directors levels of organizational commitment which are according to demographic variables were examined with sub-dimensions of organizational commitment. When elementary school principals who exposed to rotation showed significant difference about these variables which are under sub-dimension of emotional commitment are that; age, educational level, seniority, managerial time, the physical condition of school and number of teachers in the institution, they showed only physical condition of the school under the sub-dimension of normative commitment, but they didnt show any significant difference under sub-dimension of continuance commitment.Keywords: School Principal, Rotation, Organizational Commitment, Primary School
