Abstract (EN)

The subject of the study is "The Sacrament of Baptism in the Syrian Kadim Church". The subject was taken from the theology of the sacraments of the Syrian Kadim Church. The study benefited from a limited number of sources related to the subject, and was supported by interviews and observations with expert sources. The purpose of this study is to reveal the sacramental theology of baptism and the sacramental unity of the church from here. According to the results of this study, the Syrian Kadim Church is a church whose tradition is active. Sacramental theology develops in parallel with theology of early sacraments in early Christianity in Syriac Kadim Church. The Syrian Kadim Church accepts seven sacraments. The baptismal sacrament is both a belief and practice dimension that is considered important. It is believed that baptism lifts the original sins and other sins from the middle so that entrance into the new, sinless life is provided. It is accepted that one is joined to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ by diving and dive into the baptismal water. In the ceremony of baptism at the Syrian Kadim Church baptism, repentance, murun and holy kurbono rituals are performed in succession. The size of baptismal practice is similar to that of other independent churches where tradition is active. The sacramental meanings of baptism are associated with the idea of the Messiah secret. It is believed that prayer, divine, symbols, objects, etc., read in the baptism, have absolutely all the symbolic meanings associated with the idea of Jesus Christ.
