Abstract (EN)

Sadi Işılay is one of the best composers and virtuoso performers of Turkish music. He was born in Laleli on 5 November 1899. Sadi Işılay, who has been interested in music since a young age, entered musikişinas at the age of eight. He became a great performer in a short time: he gained style and experience by attending the meetings of the Great Master of Turkish music, Tanburi Cemil Bey. After 1950, he participated in broadcasts on Istanbul Radio as a violin artist. He died on 11 March 1969. In this thesis, musical analysis was performed by Sadi Işilay by taking note of the violin sections that he had performed in different positions. These taxis are Hicaz violin taxis, Karcığar violin taxis, Muhayyerkürdi violin taxis, Bayati to Saba transition taxis, Muhayyerkürdi to Şevkefza transition taxis. Each taksim was put to note by resting and slowing down. The main purpose of this thesis is how Sadi Işilay performs the makams he has made, his unique attitude of multiplication, haste and musicality. The notes are explained in terms of maqamal and execution technique according to musical sentences accompanied by certain portels. Thus, what should be paid attention to when performing a taksim, what should be done, the features of the Maqam and the condiments and Vine stays in the Maqam where taksim is made are shown and explained.
