Innovation in health institutions: The effect of digital e-health applications on the performance of healthcare professionals

The aim of this study is to measure the effect of digital e-health applications developed within the framework of innovation in healthcare institutions on the performance of healthcare professionals. It determines issues such as whether healthcare professionals are satisfied with the applications developed, frequency of use and awareness of employees, advantages and disadvantages of innovation and digital e-health applications in terms of employee performance. In this context, answers are sought for the questions prepared about the performance of digital e-health applications. In the study, it was determined that digital e-health applications were evaluated positively by the personnel working in health institutions. In addition, the advantage of digital e-health applications; Advantages such as saving time, gaining speed, accessing information more easily, and reducing the burden of paperwork for healthcare professionals increased their working performance. The disadvantage of digital e-health applications; weak infrastructure, security vulnerabilities, not taking adequate precautions regarding privacy, costly, complex and difficult for those who do not know how to use technological devices, the elderly or those who are not good with technology, slow, sometimes freezing and error, internet interruption, system crash, updating due to loss of time, lack of integration, length of transaction process and procedure, lack of warning-supervision and control mechanism, and paper waste is still at high levels despite the transition to electronic systems.
