Abstract (EN)
Health tourism is a dynamic sector that is gaining increasing importance in the global economy and provides strategic advantages for countries. Turkey has become one of the leading countries in the global health tourism market thanks to its geopolitical location, advanced healthcare infrastructure, and qualified human resources. Today, it is essential for institutions operating in the field of health tourism to develop learning organization structures and adapt to innovative processes. This thesis comprehensively examines the development of the health tourism sector in the world and in Turkey, covering the economic, social, organizational, and technological dimensions of health tourism. The subject of this thesis covers the topics of learning organizations and organizational innovation. An applied research study was conducted in this direction. The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the effect of the learning organization perception on organizational innovation in institutions and businesses operating in the field of health tourism in Turkey. The sample of the research consisted of managers and staff working in a total of 31 health tourism organizations that were active and permitted to participate in the research out of a total of 371 organizations providing services in the province of Antalya. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using the SPSS program. According to the research findings, the perception of a learning organization has a significant and positive impact on organizational innovation. The literature shows that the components of shared vision and systems perspective play a critical role in the development of innovative processes. Based on the study results, it is recommended that health tourism institutions strengthen policies and practices that support organizational learning and create an innovation-focused culture. Turkey can increase its share in the health tourism market by adopting a learning organization approach and ensuring that accredited health institutions adapt to innovative business processes.
