Abstract (EN)
Quinoa seeds are highly nutritious, containing significant amounts of carbohydrates, quality protein, fats, fiber, vitamins, and minerals. It is known that quinoa has higher nutritional values compared to grains. The yield of quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.) varies depending on factors such as plant density, variety, ecological conditions, sowing method, and soil structure. Therefore, this study was carried out to determine the effects of different inter-row and intra-row distances on yield and yield components of quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.) plant in Şanlıurfa conditions. The trial was set up in the 2024 production season according to the split plot design with 3 replications. Titicaca quinoa variety was used as plant material. In the study, the main plots were the inter-row spacings and the sub plots were the intra row spacings. The inter-row spacings were arranged as 20, 30, 45, 70 cm and the intra-row spacings were arranged as 5, 10, 15, 20 cm. Each plot in the trial consisted of 4 rows.As a result of the research, it was determined that there were statistical differences in the examined characteristics in terms of planting densities. The highest grain yield was obtained from 20 cm inter row x 10 cm intra-row spacing, (226.63 kg/da) while the lowest grain yield (192.70 kg/da) was at 70 cm inter-row x 20 cm intra-row spacing. Plant height ranged between 141.833–147.417 cm, stem diameter 4.251–6.295 mm,, fresh plant weight 1646.42–1688.67 kg/da,dry plant weight 558.08–566.67 kg/da, hectoliter weight 69.65–69.71 kg/hl, thousand-seed weight 2.362–2.374 g, the number of branches 12.5–13.83 per plant, and harvest index 34.66%–35.33%.
