Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to determine susceptibility and resistance genes to Macrolide-Lincosamide group antimicrobial agents in coagulase negative staphylococci isolated from mastitis cases in cattle. For this purpose, 52 CNS isolates obtained from bovine milk were used. In isolates; 15 Staphylococcus capitis, 8 S. equorum, 8 S. haemolyticus, 5 S. epidermidis, 4 S. pettenkoferi, 3 S. lugdunensis, 2 S. warneri and each 14 CNS species, 1 isolate each, S. cohnii, S. pasteuri, S. vitulinus, S. hominis, S. xylosus, S. chromogenes and S. kloosi were identified. Of the 52 CNS isolates, 4 were erythromycin; 1 clindamycin, 4 azithromycin, 1 spiramycin, 1 tylosin, 7 were determined to be resistant to tulathromycin, 2 were clindamycin, 1 azithromycin, 6 spiramycin, 5 tylosin and 8' It was also determined that the rat was moderately resistant to tulathromycin. Inducible clindamycin resistance was determined in 3 of the 4 isolates that were resistant to erythromycin, structural resistance was determined in 1 of the other 2 isolates susceptible to erythromycin, and moderate resistance was determined in the other isolates. In 1 Staphylococcus capitis isolate resistant to erythromycin but not inducible clindamycin resistance, msrA and msrB genes together with the mphA gene; In 1 S. capitis isolate susceptible to erythromycin, moderately resistant to spiramycin, tylosin and tulathromycin, only the mphA gene; In 1 S. haemolyticus isolate with erythromycin and inducible clindamycin resistance, the mphA gene together with the ermC gene, and in 1 S. epidermidis isolate, only the ermC gene; mphA and InuA genes were also determined in 1 Staphylococcus epidermidis isolate that is moderately resistant to clindamycin. While the mphA gene was found in 2 S. haemolyticus moderately resistant to tylosin or tulathromycin, and 1 S. epidermidis and tulathromycin-resistant 1 S. chromogenes isolates moderately resistant to tulathromycin, it was not detected in clindamycin-resistant S. hominis and tulathromycin-tylosin-resistant Staphylococcus xylosus isolates. No ermC, mphA or InuA genes were found in the S. pasteuri isolate. In conclusion; It was concluded that the presence of ML group antimicrobial resistance and resistance-related genes determined in CNS isolates may play an important role in mastitis in cattle.
