Abstract (EN)

In this study, lignin obtained from verbascum plant stems has been tried to be transformed into new products with and without catalyst in different organic solvents in high pressure reactor and open air pressure. Ethanol, methanol, acetone and n-butanol were used as the organic solvent and NaOH was used as the catalyst. High pressure reactor tests were carried out at 300 oC and open air pressure tests were carried out at boiling points of solvents. The obtained liquid products were examined by GC-MS analysis. According to the results of the study, the highest conversion rate was found to be 51% with methanol solvent. The highest conversion rate in open air pressure tests was found to be 63% in n-butanol. According to the results of GC-MS, the liquid products obtained were found to be aromatic, aliphatic, phenolic, oxygen and nitrogen compounds were found.
