Examination of academic procrastination behavior and self-esteem levels of faculty of sport sciences students

Abstract (EN)

With different research courses, the field of education, gender, age and education of 3rd and 4th year students studying for Physical Education and Coaching Education in the faculty of sports sciences in this education. It consists of 181 female students and 321 male students (N = 502). "Academic Procrastination Scale" (AEÖ), Bakırcı Self-Esteem Scale and Demographic Information Form were applied and evaluated. IBM SPSS 22.0 Licensed Package Program was used to analyze the data; It used descriptive statistics (Frequency, Percentage, Average and Standard Deviation), one-way Variance Analysis and T test. According to the result of the research, high scores from the ANT department in academic procrastination behavior (p = 0.022). The departments are available by class in itself. No difference was found (p> 0.05). Self-esteem scores of 3rd grade PPS students (p = 0.037). It was found that the scores of academic procrastination behavior had higher scores in the 4th grade (P = 0.05). There is a high correlation between academic procrastination behavior and self-score in the PEST and ANT department (p = 0.027 and p = 0.002). Academic procrastination score is higher than females than males (p <0.001). The findings are discussed in the light of the researches and will be found here.
