Abstract (EN)

This study; The provincial center of Kilis, The Ministry of Health aims to determine the effect of stress on Health Employee Safety in 345 health workers working at Kilis State Hospital. The universe of the cross-sectional and descriptive type of study is constituted by the health workers working in Kilis State Hospital of Ministry of Health in Kilis in April-May 2017. Without sampling, the entire universe was included in the study and reached 195 people who agreed to undertake the survey. Data from the study; Socio-demographic characteristics, risk and hazard perception based on work environment, occupational health and safety applications, Health Workers Safety Scale and Work Stress Questionnaire were collected under direct observation. In the analysis of the data frequency distribution, percentage x2 test was used. The health workers at the Kilis State Hospital were included in the scope of the research. 65.6% of the participants were women and 49.7% were between 22-31 years of age. Health workers of 49.7% are undergraduate graduates. However, 68.2% of the health workers reported that they had received occupational safety health training and 92.8% stated that they use Personal Protective Equipment. The rate of health workers who have work accidents is 38.5%. In addition, the rate of health professionals who have occupational diseases is 37.9%. Health workers of 80.5% are receiving in-service training. Health workers of 65.6% are nurses. The health care of 31.3% workers gave rare answers to the possibility of occupational illness, and 34.9% to the possibility of work accidents. The average score of the health worker's health worker sfatey scale was 149.52 and the average work stress score was 2.7238. It has been reported that work safety is provided at the hospital covered by the research. Health workers were found to be "at the most favorable job stress level in terms of health and productivity". Kilis State Hospital where this research was done provided job security. But job stress in health workers; In some ways increasing the productivity by forcing the person and in some ways it can threaten the health. Works should be undertaken by the management of the institution to increase the OHS culture and reduce work stress.
