Intolerance at uncertainty as predictors of continuous anxiety, analysis on beliefs relating with anxiety and focus of control, and investigation on life satisfaction

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of intolerance, anxiety, and control focus on state and trait anxiety, and life satisfaction, as a predictor of distress. In addition, the effects of continuous and loss of life on life satisfaction are also being investigated. In the research, a screening model was used and a survey was conducted of the individuals they were in. As a working group, a survey was conducted with 46 people in a therapy center operating in Istanbul. The questionnaires to be studied were "State and Trait Anxiety Scale", "Uncertain Intolerance Scale", "Positive Beliefs Related to Anxiety", "Anxiety Scale" and "Control Scale Scale". The literature was first searched in the research. After the literature search, the answers given in the questionnaires to reach the research findings were uploaded to SPSS 17 Program and statistical analysis was done. Reliability and competence tests were performed on the scales. , Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk tests were used to determine non-parametric tests for the normal distribution of variables. MannWhitney U Test for binary comparisons and Kruskal Wallis One Way Variance test for more than two groups. The Pearson Correlation Coefficient technique was used to measure inter-variable correlations in the analysis. Regression analysis was also done in the study. According to research findings, significant differences were found according to gender, marital status, age, educational status, income status and number of children. The direction and severity of the relationships between the variables and the correlation tests were determined and the variables that predicted the State Anxiety, Trait Anxiety and Life Satisfaction with the regression tests were analyzed. According to the results of the research, 69,87% of the state liveliness was found to be meaningful at the scientific level that can be explained by the Trait Anxiety, Positive Results of Concern and Individual Responsibility. It was found to be significant at the scientific level where only 25,00% of the state anxiety was explained as a predictor of persistent anxiety and 8,50% of the life satisfaction was explained by State anxiety. According to the results of the research, the level of discomfort that women had given to the future was higher than that of men, and the perception that the anxiety would prevent dangerous results was high. It has been determined that married individuals have an internal control orientation compared to single individuals, and anxiety situation increases when age status is lower. Individuals with low educational attainment levels are more anxious than those with high educational attainment. In addition, as the level of income decreases, the level of anxiety and life satisfaction decreases, and the perception that the children who have children are more stressful and sadder than the children who are not children is higher. In the study, a proposal was made to study the continuity and state anxiety and life satisfaction studies in a way to cover all segments of the extended community with face-to-face surveys based on in-depth analysis techniques.
