Abstract (EN)

His thesis was designed to investigate the effect of live yeast culture (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) added to the concentrate on fattening performances of weaned saanen male kids and In vitro gas digestibility of feeds. In this study, 18 weaned male saanen kids aged 3-3.5 months were divided into control and two groups. The groups were fed with standard concentrate feed and vetch straw. Live Yeast Culture (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) was added to ration at 0 g, 25 g and 50 g per/ head for 8-week period. Adding live yeast culture supplement did not have an effect on live weight, live weight gain, feed consumption, feed utilization rate. Live yeast culture (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) did not effect on In vitro gas digestibility and ME (Metabolic Energy). As a result, the addition of live yeast culture on weaned male saanen kids had no effect on live weight, live weight increase, feed consumption and feed utilization rate and in vitro gas digestion. However, if the time of the feeding and amount of the yeast culture increased, the yeast culture could be more effective.
