Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the effect of an 8-week perturbation exercise program on balance and lower extremity strength in teakwondo players aged 14-17. In the study, a quasi-experimental method including pretest-posttest was used. Before starting the study, G Power analysis was applied, the number of people (n=16) was determined and the athletes were divided into two homogeneous groups according to the dynamic balance scores obtained in the pre-test. 16 (15,25±0,250) male taekwondo athlete participated. Research data, physical tests (height, body weight) and performance measurement tests (hand goniometer for ankle joint range of motion, Prokin PK200 dynamic balance measurement device for dynamic balance measurement, iVMES vertical jump device for vertical jump measurement and ankle force measurement were collected with a Cybex isokinetic dynamometer). The analysis of the obtained data was made with the SPSS statistical package program. The distribution of the data was analyzed with the Shapiro Wilk test. Paired Sample T test, which is one of the parametric tests, was used for the data showing normal distribution as a result of the test, and Mann-Whitney U test was used for the data showing nonparametric distribution. Significance level was evaluated as p<0.05. According to the findings obtained dIn-group pre-test and post-test right foot dynamic balance (Primeter Length) and in-group pre-test and post-test right foot planterflexion range of motion parameter of eney group, in-group pre-test and post-test right foot dorsiflexion range of motion parameter of control group, There was a statistically significant difference between the intra-group vertical jump pretest and posttests of the control group, the intra-group isokinetic strength pretest and posttest (60 dorsiflexion left and 180 dorsiflexion left) parameters of the control group, and the intragroup pretest and posttest dynamic balance parameters of the control group. Significant differences were found (p<0.05). In conclusion; shows that perturbation exercises improve balance and lower extremity strength compared to the control group, but this improvement is not statistically significant. It is thought that the reason for this is due to the intensity of the perturbation exercises.
