Abstract (EN)

In this study, we will examine el-Ezheri's criticisms of the commentators, who are mentioned in Ibn Manzûr's Lisânü'l-Arab. The total of these criticisms is 101, and we will discuss each criticism under a separate heading. We will explain the subject of criticism first, then the criticism, and then the discussions. In addition, we will convey the opinions of the commentators on the meaning of the relevant verse in order to indicate whether el-Ezheri's criticism is strong or weak. After comparing the works called Lisânü'l-Arab and Tehzîbu'l-luğa, we will state the views that Ibn Manzûr mistakenly attributed to el-Ezheri. In addition, we will also touch on the confirmation, criticism, justification and explanations made by Ibn Manzûr on the subject after each criticism. Our research consists of two parts. In the first part, we will discuss the lives of el-Ezheri and Ibn Manzur and the methods they used in criticism. The second part consists of five sub-titles. The first is el-Ezherî's ten criticisms about the Companions and Tabins. The second is el-Ezheri's twenty criticisms of Leys bin el-Muzaffer. The third is the twenty criticisms made against Ferra. The fourth is the thirty-three criticisms made against Zeccâc. Fifth, there are twenty-eight different criticisms made against different scholars.
