Abstract (EN)

Linguistic ambiguity means that an expression has more than one possibility in terms of meaning and grammar. This situation comes up frequently in the interpretation of the verses. In this thesis, this situation will be discussed within the framework of major exegetical works and verses of Qur'an. In the first chapter, where linguistic ambiguity is explained theoretically, it is stated that this situation occurs in a semantic or syntactic framework. In the second part of the thesis, linguistic ambiguity data will be presented in terms of semantic and syntactic, specific to samples from the tafsirs and verses. In the last part of the thesis, the data presented in the second part will be analyzed in depth from different aspects. In the study, it was concluded that the historical development of grammatical tafsir could be evaluated and a conception of tafsir history could be formed based on the linguistic ambiguity data that occurred in the semantic and syntactic framework.
