Abstract (EN)

After the proclamation of the Republic, the new regime did not fully explain the revolutions and there was a significant security problem due to the resistance of the tribal and sheikh in the region. These problems were tried to be solved with hard measures. However, social and economic reasons behind this emerging security problem had also been seen. The policies of the Turkish governments of the World War II towards the region were shaped by the threat of war. Policies have also been developed to remove the social and economic causes that affect the security issue, which is the main problem of the region. Because, despite all the impossibilities of the war period, this initiative comes to the forefront in the continuation of investments initiated towards the region and in the effort to seriously fulfill the duty of the state mechanism to meet the basic needs of the citizens of the region. During the World War II, the political approaches of the Turkish governments in the single party period towards the Southeastern region are aimed at integrating the region with the country.
